Hey guys. I don’t have too much to say, but the shit I am gonna say is important to me.
Maybe not to you, and I don’t give a fuck about that, but to me, it is of the utmost importance.

A bit ago, Vanna’s vocalist, Chris Preece, quit the band. Statement below:

I just sat here for a few minutes trying to think of a clever way to open this statement, but realized it’s probably best to keep it as honest as possible. After this tour, I will no longer be in Vanna.

I know this will come with a good amount of initial shock but if I can I’d like to preempt at least some of that shock by saying that the decision is based entirely on personal reasons and has absolutely nothing to do with drama of any sort.

Needless to say, the hardest part of this process will be leaving a group of guys who I am proud to call my brothers and best friends. Everyone involved has been understanding and supportive far beyond my expectations.

The silver lining in all of this is that we have already found a replacement, Davey Muise, and there is no doubt that our fans and friends will approve enthusiastically. He has been a great friend of ours for a long time, and we couldn’t be happier. Davey will be with us for the remainder of the tour doing vocals on “Trashmouth” and meeting all of the Vannimals. I encourage everyone to come see it for yourself. You won’t be let down, I promise.

As for me, I am moving home to Austin, TX to spend time with my family and pursue other interests. The last three and a half years have easily been the most exciting and fun years of my life and I am forever grateful for the opportunities I have been given. Thanks to everybody who has been there with me, I love all of you.

Now everyone knows that Vanna is one of my favorite bands, so that was a bummer to me. I’m just glad they have a new vocalist. Hopefully that’s going well. I should be seeing them soon.

ASIDE FROM THAT HUGE FUCKING BUMMER, there was an even larger bummer that I found on MySpace today. Jerry Roush, the vocalist from SkyEatsAirplane, quit his band. What am I going to do now? Newer newer Vanna and now newer newer SkyEatsAirplane? Tis a sad fucking day. Here’s their MySpace blog:

After touring for the past two years together, SEA and our singer Jerry Roush have decided to part ways. We hate to see him go, but our creative differences make this the best option for everyone. We are still on good terms and wish Jerry good luck with whatever he chooses to do. As for the rest of the band, SEA is pushing on with a ton of new material: Zack and I (Lee) are going to be flying up to Travis’ practice space up in Delaware to write killer riffs and to start jamming on the new stuff in the near future.

We appreciate you, our fans, sticking with us through this. We can’t wait to show you everything we’ve been working on! And as far as the singing spot we have open, if you are interested please contact us at singforSEA@gmail.com . Thanks!

I never talk about real shit on my website, and I definitely never talk about dudes, but my boy Nick O, who happens to be from my probably favorite state of Florida, knows what’s up. I often have these same views on girls that Nick does, but he’s a lot better at putting them into words than I am. He also uses complete sentences and that’s sick as fuck.

Sometimes I hate the idea of “girls” because the first thing it brings to mind is “one who will do anything to get a boy who isn’t going to like her, to like her.” Girls do all sorts of things that reflect badly upon themselves, with people who are never going to think of them as more than an object. And usually it has no positive effect. Girls will do anything to try to make a boy like them. And that boy may like them, but will probably never love them.

Also, girls seem to not want to show their intelligence except when they feel threatened or angry. I guess it’s more attractive to seem dumb. Less intimidating. I know when I meet a smart girl, I think I could never be with her because she’s too smart. But then again, is there a problem with setting a high standard for yourself?

Don’t be afraid to love, but don’t be afraid to say no either. Don’t be afraid to be sexy, but don’t be afraid to be intelligent either.

P.S. bros i’m not trying to cockblock.

I don’t really watch movies, or like them that much. I don’t know who your favorite actor, actress, director, or directress is. I don’t know that one line from Boondock Saints that everyone knows. I don’t know who shot Nice Guy Eddie. What I do know is that a new Tron movie is coming out next year. It’s called “Tron Legacy”, and the trailer looks dope. Have a look:
