I wrote a post earlier on Hiro, my HTC Hero, and apparently the app sucks and doesn’t save drafts very well, so the whole thing was deleted…so here I am doing a round 2. This time, I’m sitting on a 15 inch MacBook Pro. I would really like to own one of these, and I’m going to save money until I can purchase one of these things. That’ll be super swell.
How are things going for you? Hopefully all is well. I know this post seems very upbeat, but I am by no means feeling as such. Let’s get into this post though. What are you guys anticipating as presents for whatever holiday you celebrate? Hopefully something good, right? I have no anticipations, but any gift is a good one. Hopefully everyone who doesn’t have a PS3 is going to be getting one of those, or at least trading in whatever gifts they did get for one, because we all know that would undoubtedly be the best move to make. What are some super hot PS3 games coming out soon? I know that Final Fantasy 13 is going to be rolling out soon, so I’ll end this paragraph on that note:
I really hate Winter. It’s definitely my least favorite season, even living in the South where it’s basically warm all the time. My personal favorite season is Autumn/Fall. I really dig how that weather feels during that period, and the leaf changing color thing is sick as fuck. That’s the season where ugly girls are overshadowed by girls who have any sense of style, and I can try my best to….flaunt my amazing personality. Yes, my personality is amazing. And yes, fuck you too.
New Year is coming up. 2kX is on it’s way! Are you excited? I am! I was hoping that the 2k series of games would call 2010 sports games 2kX, and they didn’t. That’s a shame. Right now I’m trying to figure out when someone is going to hop on one of my ideas and I can be pissed about it when I see it on tv. Terrible example, but here’s one: the Snuggie. My grandma saw a commercial for the god awful Snuggie and was like, I’ve been doing that for years! All it is is wearing a robe backwards!
Fucking backwards. It’s that simple. My grandma was pissssssssed. It was pretty funny.
Anyway, what’s up with resolutions for the year ahead? I had some written up, but I have already forgotten them…so let’s try again:
Firstly, I would like to have…website domination. If this blog could become a bit more popular, that would be sick. I guess that requires a bit more marketing or whatever, but that’s something I’m not interested in at all!
Secondly, I would enjoy going on a tour. A legit tour, not one like the one I went on with Darling Waste where I played no shows and sat cooped up in a basement in New York for 2 weeks, but one where I’m playing shows and having a good time. I hope that band never gets any sort of popularity or recognition. Terrible part of my life.
Thirdly, where the fuck you at Sierra!?!?!?!? You’re a resolution @SierraVE! Let’s work on that shit!
Whatever. My mind is fucked and I’m not used to a Mac enough to type/thing effectively. So have fun.

But I have returned to provide you with a service known as…I guess writing from my end. It would be reading from yours. Entertainment, or at least a short cure for boredom, for the lot of us.
Best Buy is moving in a smooth path. It leaves me with a myriad of questions though:
1) How do people not know about computers after Y2K? I mean, the world was going to be destroyed by computer malfunction or some bullshit like that. Niggas are like, “I’m just trying to get on the internet.” And I’m like, “Well, go get on it. You can do that at lots of places.” They don’t think that’s funny. And I don’t actually say that. I need to start, though.
2) I don’t like people who don’t speak English. Retail is cool, a nigga loves talking to people, but when they can’t talk back or don’t understand what I’m saying or they don’t understand that only Vista Ultimate can translate your operating system to Spanish, then I’m pissed. And that’s fucking lame.
3) Damn a nigga is ready for that employee discount.
4) How the fuck do white dudes get Asians? I’m trying to figure this out. I’m basically a white dude, right? I mean…fuck. White dudes who secure Asians, I need tips. You can comment anonymously.
5) White people crazy. Crazy as fuck.
666) If black people didn’t act so broke, and just acted like everyone else, they’d be set. White people have it down to a science, they’re all like, “We’re on a budget right now.” Black people are like, “NIGGA, I’M BROKE! DON’T TRY TO SELL ME SOME EXPENSIVE SHIT!” C’mon niggas!

So, it’s almost 2010. You remember when the Y2K bullshit was poppin and the world was gonna end? Wasn’t that awesome? I agree. I hope there’s a Y2KX bug. I hope someone blames it on me, as well. Are any 2k sports games out yet? Are they calling them 2K10 or 2KX? 2KX sounds so much better. Fuck all the nonbelievers.
Oh shit! The other day, I saw Vanna. You remember me talking about how fucking awesome their new shit is? It’s still awesome, but let me tell you what’s not awesome…their new singer. It’s this dude named Davey who just…isn’t as awesome on vocals. It ruined my experience, and I hope that when they hit the studio again that he has gotten better. If not, they should just pick me up. So my 2009 musical failures are as follows:
a) SkyEatsAirplane and Vanna losing their vocalists.
b) Sierra Emerge still not being my girlfriend.
I know Sierra is friends with a few of the dudes in Vanna, now it looks like(yes, looks like) she’s friends with my friend Skrilla Bobcat. Yes, Skrilla. That’s money for all of you slang illiterate people. Here’s proof:
Bobby and I are going to start a hip hop band. Be ready. I have all of these awesome ideas that I’ll never be able to musically transcribe.

I’m not really a huge sucker for brown/green, but I am a huge sucker for houndstooth.
Yo. I only have a couple things I wanna talk about today.
First thing is Grand Theft Auto 4. If you’ve played all of the other GTA games, this one lacks in a couple of areas, but is so far beyond the other ones in others that the bad shit looks like a cups on a fat bitch.
Graphics are immaculate. Let’s start there. I heard that this is one of the only games that the disc spins constantly, which means that it is constantly loading things around it. Which means for higher graphic capabilities. It also means your system is more likely to get real hot…but gamers usually don’t give a fuck about that.
…..unless they’re white and own an xbox360.
I know it’s 2008 so graphics are gonna be good anyway, but…I’m an OG to video games, so I can keep talking about graphics.
When I first popped the bitch in, the gameplay wasn’t that good to me. Best GTA gameplay award goes to San Andreas, but after a bit…it grew on me. So…gameplay went from bad to good.
The thing that made this GTA so much better than the others was the use of a cell phone and being able to actually hang out with the people in the game. You can download ringtones and themes for your phone. You receive picture messages of your cousin with a gun to his head and your niggas will call you just to say that they’re stuck in the trunk of a car.
I could talk about it all day, but I won’t. Some of y’all aren’t video game nerds and are waiting on me to say something to make someone mad. So…moving on…
If you want to take a moment out of your day to judge me…here’s what I’m doing right now:
I’m listening to Explosions in the Sky while eating Cheez-its and drinking a “focus”(kiwi-strawberry) Vitamin Water. I’m also talking to a 16 year old girl on aim.
This should be fun especially if you don’t know me. If you do know me…you’d probably expect me to be doing these things.
The other thing I wanted to talk about was a concert I went to last night. I live in Charleston, SC…for those who don’t keep up, and I went to Myrtle Beach to go see the band Modest Mouse exhibit their music to a large group of fans. This was my first time seeing Modest Mouse. I took the journey to see them with one of my friends, who may be one of the biggest MM fans in Charleston. After hearing about how he’s going to masturbate Isaac Brock when certain events occurred during their set, I had to see this for myself. I missed watching the first song, which was “Dance Hall” from their album “Good News For People Who Love Bad News” and then proceeded with their set. This tour is in promotion of their latest album “We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank”. Set was about an hour and a half long. Here’s some of my thoughts:
I think that the set was decent. I feel like I heard the same song about 7 times during their set and there were also a couple of classics like “Paper Thin Walls” and “Tiny Cities Made of Ashes”. I think the feeling was there, but the amount of creativity difference between all of the previous Modest Mouse albums and their 2 most recent just made the set lack a lot of things that I expected.

Long story short. Someone needs to tell the dudes in Modest Mouse to go back to their roots. Just because years have passed doesn’t mean you can get worse. And The Smiths were/are still awesome.
And there were 12 black people at the show. Over 2000 attended.
